In summer the town offers many hiking- and mountain bike trails, which offer fantastic view and lovely alpine chalets.
In winter you can ski at the largest ski area in Upper Austria, the region Dachstein West. (New: Gaudipisten Dachstein West) Also the cross country ski track with about 45km are an absolutely highlight in this town.
